The Manager, Transfer Pricing will sit within a dynamic global tax team and will report to the Senior Director, Tax. This role provides strategic transfer pricing planning and implementation of tax strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate with the corporate functions and business unit personnel to manage transfer pricing projects and compliance activities. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate findings to management, both written and verbal.

General Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement transfer pricing policy, procedures and practices regarding the pricing and documentation of all intra-group transactions
  • Participate with consultants to provide annual transfer pricing studies including, compliance activities
  • Advise on transfer pricing aspects of business expansions, reorganizations, and cross-border transactions involving multiple tax jurisdictions and efficiently implement/integrate Transfer Pricing policies
  • Identify and recommend appropriate action in areas of responsibility to mitigate the transfer pricing risk in light of the increasingly diverse and challenging commercial, regulatory and tax environment
  • Assist to defend global transfer pricing policies, manage and maintain sufficient support for internal and external reporting and controversy requests
  • Lead and manage monthly, quarterly and annual operational Transfer Pricing processes and controls related to intercompany transactions and forecasting
  • Work with the Legal team to ensure sufficient intercompany agreements are in place for new/existing transactions
  • Work with the Treasury team to support intercompany lending activities
  • Support Advanced Pricing Agreement processes
  • Work with tax and finance leadership to develop strategies that will deliver effective tax rate and cash tax benefits to the global enterprise
  • Review intercompany contracts and collaborate with business functions to ensure intercompany contracts are aligned with company strategy and minimize potential tax risks to the company
  • Continually monitor the effects of proposed tax legislation to the organization

Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Tax, or Economics with 7 or more years of experience, with a mix of public accounting and industry
  • Experienced in U.S. taxation of international transactions and planning for foreign operations
  • Working knowledge of tax accounting
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills to integrate business objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to simplify complex tax issues into high level presentations for management approval
  • Ability to model tax planning outcomes
  • Team with the tax accounting group to ensure that all planning projects are properly recorded
