Logistics Tech – General Stores Department - #99440

  • Day shift: 4am-12:30pm. This position will be scheduled for weekends and holidays
  • Registry (no guaranteed hours, no benefits, and you will be scheduled as needed)


JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide timely, accurate and comprehensive services related to providing stock and nonstock supplies and equipment to all hospital departments and alternate sites of care, including time share offices. This includes activities involving receiving, distribution, bulk and logical unit of measure deliveries, on demand services, 2~bin inventory deployment and management, inventory control and attention to days on hand levels, storeroom management and maintenance, housekeeping, root cause analysis and error proofing, lean management, continuous improvement and the use of various technologies, including, but not limited to bar code scanning, electronic receiving, delivery and chain of custody tools and applications and remote work locations, as assigned.

  • High School diploma.
  • 12 months experience stocking experience and/or receiving experience preferred.
  • Experience with mainframe or PC computer systems
  • Good communication and customer relation skills.
  • Good organization and math skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must function as a 'team” member.
  • Ability to prioritize work flow.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
  • Ability to comply with all categories of DOL lifting guidelines
  • Ability to do perform job functions off campus.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and day of the week.
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials.
  • Ability to push and pull transport equipment.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Logistic Technicians will be required to comply with all of the following lifting criteria.
    ~ Sedentary: Lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally and negligible amount of lifting.
    ~ Light: Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently.
    ~ Medium: lifting up to 20 to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently and /or up to 10
    pounds constantly.
    ~Heavy: Lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and / or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and / or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
    ~ Very Heavy: up to 100 pounds occasionally and / or in excess of 50 pounds frequently and / or in excess of 20 pounds constantly.
  • Receiving
    ~May be required to receive products for storeroom as well as department orders on an as needed basis.
    ~ Use of Lawson and/ or MSCM is required.
    ~Ability to communicate effectively
