Credit Risk Analyst

Logistics done differently.

At XPO Logistics, we’re constantly looking for talented individuals at all levels who can deliver the caliber of service our company requires. As a Credit Analyst, you will be analyzing and reviewing commercial credit reports and financial reports to determine approvals and denials of customers applying for credit terms with XPO. You will also monitor the existing portfolio for high risk accounts and make recommendations based on your findings, and work with internal departments to help mitigate risk. If you’re ready for the challenge of working for a global company—to go bigger and better—we have an opportunity waiting for you at XPO.

Pay, benefits and more.

We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability, and the opportunity to participate in a company incentive plan.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Review and approve, modify, or decline credit review requests within established credit authority
  • Escalate to revoke lines of credit upon receipt of external information pertinent to the financial strength of accounts
  • Make recommendations to management on credit lines outside of credit analyst’s authority
  • Review extended terms requests and provide approval or declination based on risk, payment trends, and profitability
  • Analyze account portfolio of approximately 50,000 active accounts; review credit risk and aging deterioration
  • Work with outside vendors from collection agencies and credit reporting agencies
  • Assist Credit Supervisor and Credit Manager on special assignments, as needed
  • Assist in the training of credit staff on pulling credit reports, financial analysis, etc.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 to 3 years of logistics or transportation experience
  • Certified Credit and Risk Analyst (CCRA)
