Contracts Manager

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage contract administration processes and systems including customer and vendor contracting
  • Lead contract management projects including system selection, integration, and implementation
  • Find opportunities for integration and process improvement, and drive continuous improvement processes
  • Work closely with Legal, IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure effectiveness of contract administration
  • Draft and negotiate legal agreements and contract changes
  • Provide ongoing analysis and reporting for contracts; execute changes
  • Manage the internal contracts team within the Legal department
  • Understand and interpret terms and condition clauses that pertain to liability, indemnification, warranty, and liquidated damages

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Law, or related field, or any suitable combination of education, experience, or training
  • 5 years of experience leading contract management processes, and drafting and negotiating contracts
  • 2 years of management experience
  • Experience with contract management systems including implementation and management of document repository and complete workflow tools

It’d be great if you also have:

  • IACCM certification
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with contracts management and legal operations in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience with word processing, presentation, and database applications/programs including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Ability to manage system selection and implementation with support from IT
