Overview: We are looking to hire a Bilingual Onboarding Assistant Manager to join the ctrl group at Deloitte. This group is growing rapidly and we look forward to adding to this team! This individual will oversee the onboarding of new clients into the ctrl group. This position is a virtual role and the selected individual can be based anywhere within Canada.

The ctrl group collaborates with local client delivery teams across the country to carry out tasks required to complete cloud accounting services for small and medium private clients in various business sectors. The Onboarding Assistant Manager will work closely with the ctrl team – they are the primary point of contact for our clients as they transition to the cloud accounting services offered through ctrl. Onboarding Assistant Manager will work with potential clients through the discovery process to determine the best solution/tech stack.  From there, the Assistant Manager will work together with the client to onboard them and then continue to support them through the implementation until it is determined that the engagement has hit its stride.  In this role, the Onboarding Assistant Manager is integral to successful implementation of customer solutions.

Success for this role will be determined by:

  • Client understanding of our bookkeeping process and successful use of apps. 
  • Measurement will be determined through check-ins with the Bookkeeping Operations manager
  • And; Client satisfaction of the onboarding experience
  • Measurement will be done through a survey of the clients after they have been a client for a few months

  What your week may look like:

  • Meet with potential clients, in the Discovery process, to determine what their pain points are and recommend solutions
  • Assist partners and Senior Managers in the preparation of quotes
  • Work to onboard clients including
  • Process reviews
  • Online orientation meetings
  • Follow-up calls to ensure a smooth transition
  • Working together with Implementation Team to answer any questions and resolve any issues
  • Acting as subject matter expert on various applications in use for both internal staff and external clients
  • Participate in ctrl team meetings

External Posting Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (French & English) is mandatory
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a client engagement role
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud accounting applications
  • Attention to detail including strong communication skills (written and verbal), strong computer proficiency, and analytical competency
  • Proven experience handling multiple and conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance and planning skills
  • Interest in technology and innovation
  • Advanced accounting and bookkeeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Quick learning capacity
  • Detail oriented individual comfortable working within tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
