Quality Engineer


As part of our Cylinders business, this role is responsible for acting as the Division Management Representative for the implementation and maintenance of the division-wide ISO Systems.  This position also works directly with the local management representatives at each Cylinder’s manufacturing location to support their Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement.

These activities include maintaining divisional procedures and documentation for corporate functions; training employees on Divisional processes and procedures; communicating system changes; managing the division internal audit program, which includes the managing the audit schedule, training of auditors, and conducting internal audits; leading the divisional management review process (MRT); Supporting and monitoring Corrective Actions driven from customer complaints, returns, and warranty; facilitating third-party ISO and quality systems audits; works closely with other members of the management team to ensure the system supports overall company goals and drives sustainable improvement. 



  • Create & Maintain Quality System
  • Manage contracts with audit body, and act as liaison between facilities and audit bodies
  • Drive Quality initiatives throughout organization
  • Manage internal audit process; lead 3rd party assessments & communicate results
  • Monitor Customer Corrective Actions and Customer Satisfaction [CARs / PARs]
  • Implement continual improvement activities to enhance the quality management system
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience with implementing quality systems in manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of applicable quality standards [i.e., ISO 9001, AS9100, EN13485, etc.].
  • Knowledge of core auditing tools
  • Strong knowledge of basic Quality Management concepts
  • Ability to communicate effectively; verbally and through written reports
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of DOT, ASME, API, TC, EN or other regulatory standards
  • Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor Training and/or Certification
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred
