WHAT WE NEED

Patient Assistance Program Coordinator/Buyer

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our Prescription Assistance Program (PAP) provides our community benefit to patients who would otherwise be unable to afford their medications. Our patients need a coordinatior who is self-motivated, organized and thorough to help our patients who are uninsured or uunderinsured for prescription coverage. 

 

Are you detail-oriented and thorough in your work? Can you be flexible to step-in where needed during day-to-day operations? Do you have excellent communication skills? If so, we’d love to learn more about you. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate patient assistance programs for uninsured and underinsured patients
  • Obtains necessary documents for procuring free drugs, grants or copay assistance cards
  • Maintains all the required documents for compliance and audit
  • Stays current with patient assistance programs
  • Recommends purchases based on contract pricing, knowledge of vendors and insurance benefits.

 

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Accurately type at least 40 words per minute.
  • High degree of concentration when typing technical reports, compliance reports, insurance benefit information.
  • Maintain spreadsheet of financial and management reports.
  • Must have good communication skills to effectively deal with pharmacy staff, nurses, physicians, medical clinic personnel, insurance companies and vendors
  • Understands and effectively adjusts to changes in job conditions, assignments, priorities and schedules.
  • High attention to detail.

 


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

High School Diploma/ GED Required

3-5 Years Experience

License(s): Pharmacy Technician State Certified
