Ottawa Project Supply Chain Leader

Purpose of the job:

Manage interfaces between Alstom Procurement (located in Hornell) and Site Supply Chain team to ensure material supplies to the production line for purchased parts

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the Production Controllers team on site
  • Animate coverage meetings with the Procurement Team and report coverage to the site Supply Chain and Production departments
  • Advise on forecasted shortages to allow planning in accordance with deliveries
  • Participate in the Work Package Management alongside the Supply Chain Manager
  • Participate / support in CCB (Change Control Board) to advise on modifications implementation (rank of application, obsolete materials, …)
  • Ensure logistics needs are integrated between suppliers and the production line
  • Identify critical suppliers and manage action plans in partnership with PrSM
  • Manage part of the Supply Chain Team (Production Controllers)
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to ensure financial compliance with budget and support Work Package reviews

 

Job requirements:

• At least 3 years' experience in a materials control and purchasing environment

• Bachelor degree

• Experience of high volume manufacturing an advantage

• Good negotiation and communication skills

• People management experience preferred

• Excellent PC skills, SAP knowledge considered strong asset
