Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Tax Accounting Manager opening to join our Finance organization. 

                    

Day to Day:     

                                   

The Tax Accounting Manager role has primary responsibility for:    

 

This role is responsible for supporting the quarterly global income tax provision close process to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.  The role provides the opportunity to collaborate with global tax department staff in analyzing issues related to ASC 740 and FIN 48.  Additional responsibilities include assisting in the global effective tax rate forecasting process and analysis and maintaining and development of tax provision process internal controls.                                           

                                               

                                               

What you will do:                                            

  • Support quarterly income tax provision close process, including consolidation of regional tax provision reporting packages                               
  • Assist in forecasting the global effective tax rate and analysis                     
  • Ensure global GAAP and SOX compliance, assist in evolving design of all tax accounting internal control processes                            
  • Prepare annual form 10K footnote and 10Q disclosures                
  • Assist in resolving complex tax accounting issues                             
  • Quarterly tax accounting journal entries and account reconciliation's                       
  • Manage cross-function and cross-regional collaboration                               
  • Prepare effective tax rate and tax account analysis in support of the quarterly earnings releases                              
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned       

Qualifications

 

What you Need to Succeed:                                      

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting              
  • 5+ years corporate tax and/or public accounting experience     

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA and/or Masters in Tax preferred                    
  • Understanding of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes and FIN 48, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes                            
  • Good communication skills                         
  • Proficient user of MS Excel                         
  • This position requires execution of Whirlpool's Non-Disclosure and Non-Competition Agreement.
