Job Title: Developer


Location: Palo Alto, CA


Purpose and Objective: Ariba, Inc. seeks a Developer at our Palo Alto, CA office location to be responsible for creating specification and design documents and developing and testing code.


Expectations and Tasks: Create documentation and provide maintenance. Ensure compliance with CD standards, including quality and methodology. Responsible for installation, configuration and administration of all SAP HANA instances used by the team on the project. This includes adding new users, creating new databases and upgrading the version of SAP HANA. Communicate with HANA Product support and/or HANA Development Support to resolve any issues encountered on the HANA systems used by the project. Assist other Ariba teams, that plan to use HANA, in terms of basic knowledge transfer and providing links to base product documentation. Develop test automation infrastructure used by the program including integration with the reporting infrastructure. Build the product code through an automated process, run the automated product qualification tests on the build and analyze the failures to ensure that the pass percentage of the tests meets the acceptable criteria. Own responsibility as Scrum Lead for running the team scrum meetings, ensure tasks for a sprint are entered in JIRA, the status of the tasks is updated.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study and one year of experience is required. The company will also accept a Master's degree with no experience. The company will accept pre-bachelors degree experience.


Work Experience:

Experience or coursework must involve the following: installation and Administration Experience with SAP HANA; building and using Automated Build and Test Infrastructure; deploying micro services on SAP HANA XSA; Data Fusion Views on SAP HANA database; SQL procedures to retrieve data from SAP HANA database; building attribute views and analytic views in the SAP HANA database; creating and debugging xsjs. files for SAP HANA in the HANA Web IDE; implementing Translation Schema and UI labels in SAP HANA for localization support; and SAP products, including SAP HANA XSA, SAP ERP, SAP Business Objects, and SAP Basis.
