What could you expect to experience as a Client Services Representative at Capital Group? 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving inbound calls from shareholders and financial advisors across the country
  • Helping callers manage their mutual fund accounts by completing on-line account transactions, such as investments, redemptions, and account maintenance
  • Educating callers on American Funds’ services and broader industry policies
  • Researching and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Providing telephone support to website users
  • Providing our internal and external customers with a positive service experience

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree, OR 1+ year of Customer Service experience analyzing and solving customer problems OR 2+ years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as primary instruments to perform job duties.
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Exercise sound judgment 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Interest in learning about financial services (no prior industry experience is necessary)
  • Desire to provide superior customer service
  • Ability to adapt and apply considerable amounts of information, as  regulations change frequently
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed, as business volumes are highly cyclical
