Cafe Attendant

Position Summary:

Seeking a Part Time Cafe Attendant to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday at our Promenade Cafe!

Required: 21 years of age or older 

Job Duties:

  • Maintain a friendly and engaging manner with all guests
  • Utilize all computer systems relevant to the departments Micros experience preferred
  • Maintain a log with important information to be passed onto management
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in perfect working condition and reports any deficiencies to the proper department
  • Complete and retrieve all product requisitions
  • Perform all tasks in the Café operations department.
  • The ability to establish and maintain par stocks of all supplies
  • Rotate and maintain product to sell dates
  • Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
  • Handle all monies and credit card policies.
  • Requisition, pick up, verify, and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the Cafe
  • Develop a complete working knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients and preparation
  • Ensure that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service
  • Report any accident immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager
  • Handle a guest walk out
  • Respond properly in any property emergency or safety situation
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by property management and staff
  • The ability to complete opening and closing side-work as assigned
  • Recognize regular guests and to greet them by their name.
  • Maintain property service standards
  • Provide lateral service wherever is necessary in the property.
  • 10’-5’-3’ rule
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times to everyone
  • Embody mission, vision and values of the property and ICAC division daily

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • 2 years previous Retail / Hotel F&B experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule which can include evenings and early morning shifts
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner
