We are a leading systems integrator, distributor and service repair in the western United States specializing in hydraulics for mobile OEM customers. We are currently seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee the operations, meeting customers and determining their needs for strong customer focused support and sales growth. 

 

In this position, you will oversee day-to-day operations of our Portland Branch while also providing technical and sales support of the outside sales team. This will allow you to showcase not only your technical and project management skills, but also your coaching and mentoring capabilities. Job Responsibilities

As a Branch Manager, you will manage branch operations and support our customers and our service team pre-sale, point of sale, and post-sale. This is a multi-aspect role that encompasses both service management and leadership and coaching of our branch team. This position reports directly to our General Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing internal branch operations to meet/exceed P&L objectives
  • Championing the development of leadership competencies that drive individual and team goals
  • Meeting customer and shipment metrics, including time to fill, expediting orders, and quoting
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring programs and activities related to product promotion and inside sales, office and warehouse functions, and customer service – as well measuring the results
  • Hiring, training, and developing branch personnel
  • Assisting account managers in the identification, acquisition, and retention of customers
  • Managing inventory, receivables, expenses, and profit/loss accounting
  • Reviewing and completing monthly reports as well as overseeing petty cash balancing
  • Ensuring that customer relations are maintained at a high level
  • Utilizing key metrics to evaluate and recommend best practices for operations
  • Creating a positive, dynamic, and fun work environment 

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industrial sales experience with at least 2 of those years in management.
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to read / understand technical drawings.
  • Detail oriented with ability to learn new processes and systems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team. 

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of fluid power (hydraulic and/or pneumatic) experience with at least 2 of those years in management.
  • Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree
  • International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) Certification highly desired
