MTV PCS Software Engineers work in a fast-paced, high-impact, priority-driven environment. They focus on designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing different domains and software applications essential for the Quality department at MTV as well as supporting software initiatives for other departments. These systems, applications and application components may vary from data collection software, tracking applications, packaging and deployment systems, development libraries, as well as some third-party systems.

 

As a MTV Process Control Systems Software Engineer Intern, you will help the MTV PCS software team deliver real time software solutions, critical for MTV's quality initiatives. You will have a personal mentor tasked with providing the necessary support to ensure your success.

 

Successful candidates will meet these qualifications:

  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and consensus building skills.
  • Experience/Class work in one or more of the following technologies would be preferred: C/C++, C#, Perl, PHP, Data-driven software, Hadoop, traditional databases (MS SQL Server, and Oracle PL/SQL), next-generation databases (NOSQL, etc.), Python.
  • Familiarity with Tableau preferred but not required.

 

Education:

  • Students seeking a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Data Science.
