Operations Manager

At Mobile Mini, we believe that providing the best service and products starts with hiring the best people and investing in them.  We are currently seeking a bright and energetic Operations Manager to join our growing team in Midland, TX.  Reporting to and working in partnership with the Branch Manager, the person in this role will oversee the success of the pump, filtration, and specialty containment rental operations.

 

As the Operations Manager, you'll get to exercise your  operational and leadership skills as you lead all functions within the assigned branch and ensure the yard operations meets all expectations.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all operational positions, focusing on safety and efficiently preparing equipment for rental and service to customers.
  • Based on demand and forecast of equipment, will assign and schedule team to maximize time and ensure available fleet for to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee the rental process of the branch to ensure timely entry.
  • Will monitor all costs and vendor/third party usage to ensure effective use of resources and time.
  • Inernal audit preparation & process management
  • Continually review the effectiveness of labor, systems, products and materials and makes adjustments as necessary. Implements best practices to make effective use of the team and resources.
  • Ensure that all equipment repairs, tank cleanings, inspections, etc. by the branch are done in accordance with OSHA, ANSI and manufacturer specifications.
  • Manage and maintain inventory at the branch, including rental equipment, rolling stock and repair parts. This also includes overseeing the scheduling of supplies for the yard.

 

What You'll Need to Be Successful In this role:

  • Ability to manage, lead, coach, train and mentor team to focus on safety, efficiency and high performance operations.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Willingness to assume other duties as assigned.

 

At A Minimum, You'll Have:  

  • College degree
  • 2 Years of operations experience in related industry
  • Knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Knowledge of  DOT, OSHA and state specific safety regulations
  • Forklift Certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills:  verbal and written
  • Valid Driver’s License
