PQA Deviation Engineer

As a Deviation Engineer in the Product Quality Assurance team (PQA), part of the Quality Engineering (QE) at Micron Technology Inc., you are responsible for implementing novel programs to reduce the impact of non-conforming product. This will be accomplished by methodically analyzing deviation events using 8D methodology and assessing potential risks with FMEA. Results in hand you will lead cross functional teams, to determine and implement improvements to our Quality Managed Systems such as our SPC program.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Evaluate QMS metrics and processes on a regular basis for opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate improvement projects to individual QMS programs.
  • Ensure compliance between Control Strategies and Control Systems.
  • Support customer audits and visits.
  • Resolve Gaps to current and future international standards such as ISO.
  • Improve efficiency for operating Control Systems

Successful candidates for this position must have:

  • Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or other engineering disciplines.
  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing management and quality systems, i.e. LEAN and Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication skills in small team settings.
  • Technically proficient in data analysis and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritizes issues and assignments.
  • Technical skills in Java, Python, SQL, JMP, and Tableau are a plus.
