Salesperson/FOB (Northern New Hampshire/Northeast Vermont)

 

We are adding to our world-class sales team if you are interested in contributing to our bottom line and can provide excellent customer service.  We are seeking a safety minded, self-motivated and customer-oriented individual to fill a commercial sales position for both HMA and aggregates based out of a Pike Facility located within the market area.  Classification:  Monthly salaried position.  The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Sales / Marketing

 

  • Responsible for all sales and marketing activities related to the development of existing customers, identification and capture of new customers (Commercial, Residential, Municipalities).
  • Identify all project opportunities within the defined market territory.
  • Timely follow up on all sales/quotes and account collections.
  • Strategic pricing of products based on market dynamics and associated cost factors.
  • Keeping fully abreast of bid activity, current market conditions, customers and competitor activities.
  • Developing and strengthening our relationships with all customers.
  • Develop and execute Key Account Plans.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify new customer, market and product opportunities.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Learn and utilize all sales tools and applications as defined by the sales process (Salesforce, Material Quote, DF3, etc.).
  • Attend and participate in industry events and associations to develop networks and understand current trends.
  • Ability to review plans and find appropriate quantities and solutions necessary for the job.
  • Make and track face time visits with customers both planned and cold calls or on job sites.
  • Special sales and marketing projects as defined by the business.

 

Operations

 

  • Preparation and timely submission of weekly schedules.
  • Prepare and submit internal bids for our construction division on projects requiring materials.
  • Work closely with Quality Control in monitoring specifications of products/specifying bid items.
  • Ability to be flexible with the company and customer job scheduling for proper utilization of plants and trucks.
  • Assist with the collection of receivables from customers in arrears.
  • Coordination with other departments to maximize plant efficiency and margin.
  • Interact with Sales Support Team to achieve business goals while meeting the needs of the customers.
  • Coordination with area dispatcher to insure maximum utilization of trucks for product delivery when needed.
  • Assist with other subsidiary operations as needed.

 

Requirements

 

  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two or more years related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
  • Proficient computer skills with web based applications and MS Office products.
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
  • Willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout the company when needed.
  • A valid driver’s license
