James Hardie is opening a new plant in the Frederickson area and we are looking for new operators to assist with the start up. The Clean Up Crew Operator is an essential member of the James Hardie Building Products team, responsible for working with high pressure water equipment and team members to reduce the amount of build-up on the machines allowing the production team to produce quality board. This position is responsible for all areas of the plant including areas that consist of stairs and catwalks. This role is very dirty and active with little down time and will keep you busy all shift. The Clean Up Crew Operator will become intimately familiar with the layout of our plant, including key areas and key components in each area. They will be responsible for operating the high pressure water equipment in a safe manner and operating a 50 forklift. If you were always the kid who preferred to play in the sandbox, this is a job for you.

They are very safety conscious and are frequently watching out for their own safety and act as a brother’s keeper.  The most successful Clean Up Crew Operators embrace progressive thinking and are willing to work on multiple assignments throughout the shift.

Someone with a stable work history and the ability to demonstrate past successes related to a manufacturing or similar production environment. Two or more years in manufacturing is a plus, but if you have a passion to try something new, we would love to hear from you – we are willing to train.

 

As a 24/7 manufacturing facility of fiber cement building products, we ask that you be able to:

• Work 8 hours with occasional overtime (open to moving to 12 hour shifts as you progress in the company).
• Lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Walk, stand and/or sit for extended period of time.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Learn and be comfortable operating large forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Work around bulk raw materials, moving equipment, high pressure water, varying temperatures and other environmental conditions related to cement board manufacturing.
• Use multiple types of personal protective equipment.
