Lead Business Systems Analyst

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead development of functional requirements and design documentation
  • Facilitate testing and training
  • Gather, review analyze, and evaluate user needs
  • Act as SME liaison between business users/ BAs and IT project teams
  • Manage user expectations and requirements and scope.
  • Work closely with Project Manager, architects, developers, Test team, business users/ Bas and applicable outside entities
  • Contribute to the development of user guides, reference manuals, training materials and code release artifacts as appropriate
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure compliance to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Provides estimates for BSA work efforts on new projects and for on-going forecasting
  • Assist in fulfilling SOX and other compliance requests. Has ongoing interaction with senior management

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience and/or certifications
  • 5+ years business systems analysis experience, or comparable business and technical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as, demonstrated professionalism
  • Significant Software Development Life Cycle knowledge and experience, or comparable methodologies
  • Adept experience in creating and presenting Business and/or Functional Requirements Specification documents
  • Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (or other design tools))

 

Preferred:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional certificate (CBAP)
  • Microsoft SQL Services tool stack (SSRS, SSAS) or comparable BI experience or report designer tools
  • Project analyst or comparable coordination skills
  • Insurance and/or Financial Industry experience
