Role Value Proposition:

This position will be a key member of the Life Pricing team.  Reporting directly to the Leader of Life Pricing, this role will focus on the pricing of new and current life products.  This individual will support modeling, pricing analysis, project management, and documentation efforts.  Use of process improvement and analytical experience is also required to assist in efforts needed to enhance the business, drive sales, or find ways to streamline or automate processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and modeling for current life products and potential new life products.  Involvement encompasses creating and building, updating, enhancing, running, validating, and documenting life pricing models
  • Regular pricing and profitability analysis of all life products, including analysis of results, reconciliation and attribution of changes, communication of results to management, and detailed documentation
  • Analysis of product requirements, as well as financial, valuation, and capital methodologies, and their proper translation into the life pricing models
  • Proper documentation and controls of all work and models, including pricing assumptions, processes, methodology, and results
  • Performing, updating, and analyzing experience studies of all life pricing assumptions and monitoring of on-going sales and experience


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics
  • Completed 4 preliminary actuarial exams for the Society of Actuaries
  • Currently pursuing an ASA designation with the Society of Actuaries
  • Strong computing and programming skills
  • Strong actuarial and financial skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Can adjust work resources and deadlines in response to changing business priorities
