Summary:  Responsible to technical software development, review of product manufacture, test and final assembly.  Provide new product design and development. Support sales and quoting activity.               

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Review and interpret contract requirements of RFQ's and product orders
  • Generate and submit technical software requirements of product orders/contracts
  • Determine product packaging and marking requirements of product orders/ contracts
  • Responsible for final product quality and conformance via final inspection
  • Oversee inspection of parts, pumps and units as conducted by vendors
  • Oversee pump and unit testing and the review and approval of test reports
  • Provide application and technical assistance to customers and sales staff
  • Manage the calibration system for gauges and inspection equipment
  • Provide manufacturing process support for vendors and Materials Manager
  • Provide product application and configuration control analysis
  • Assist in the development of formal quotations
  • Assist in the procurement of new or challenging component configurations
  • Produce and update component and equipment drawings as necessary

 

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:   

Must be capable of performing component and product inspections.  Must have technical writing skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
