Chef Manager

Unit Description

Sodexo Education - Schools Division is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to support a $2.9MM showcase K12 school account in Westfield, IN, consisting of 9 Schools serving 7,600 students.  


The Chef Manager will supervise cooks and oversee the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food.  Estimate food consumption and purchase food.  May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary.  Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition.  Responsible for cash management.  Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in a smaller account/unit where there is not a Executive Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to General Manager.


General knowledge of USDA standards and/or willingness to learn k12 regulations and standards needed to be successful in this role.

Position Summary

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Key Duties- Executes the culinary function.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Handles administrative functions.
