Assembly Team Member


Primary Function

Assembly operators work on a moving production line or in a sub assembly cell handling and installing water heater components resulting in a finished product ready for shipment to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operates basic controls and industrial hand tools to complete assigned processes.
  • Works in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Read, understand and comply with specific work instructions related to assigned assembly processes.
  • Must be capable of learning multiple jobs and may be required to rotate positions as necessary.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
  • Strictly follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all manufacturing quality standards.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • More than one year of direct manufacturing experience.
  • Although not required, prior experience operating a forklift is desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and with assistance
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Use of wrenching, impacting, and/or vibrating tools (manual and automatic) is required occasionally for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
