    This is an Open Continuous/Standing Register job opportunity announcement (JOA). This announcement will be used to fill vacancies as they become available at the Installation Operations Columbus Golf Course, Whitehall, Ohio. Additionally, this JOA is the public notice for a job fair being held in Whitehall, Ohio (see below for information). The first cut-off date is the date of the job fair on 19 January 2018. Applicants who are unable to attend the job fair or who apply after the first cut-off date will be referred to the selecting official according to the date the application packet has been received. The closing date of this job opportunity announcement is 31 October 2018. You MUST reside in the commuting area of the position.

    Applicants who apply under this JOA are encouraged to attend the job fair. Interviews will be conducted and on-the-spot job offers may be extended. Applicants who are unable to attend the job fair will be referred to the selecting official for the next available positions.

    This position is a Flexible (Flex) position. You may be regularly scheduled or scheduled on an as needed basis, but there are no guaranteed hours. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits.

    These are "seasonal" positions. Selectees will be inprocessed upon selection; however, will not receive a schedule until early Spring though Fall - during the golfing season. After the golf course reduces hours for the season, the incumbent may remain an employee; however, he/she will not be scheduled until the following Spring.

    This is a non-bargaining unit position.

    As an Operations Assistant, NF-1101-02 , the incumbents is responsible for:
    • Assisting management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures.
    • Issuing, receiving and controlling cash receipts and change funds; verifying cash count of funds turned in by cashiers.
    • Assuring only authorized patrons utilize the facilities.
    • Submitting daily report of operations and completing Daily Activity Report.

    The minimum qualifications for this position are:
    • Experience processing sales transactions including completing end of day paperwork from cash registers, issues or receiving funds, and verifying cash counts; and providing customer service to the general public.

    This position does not have an education requirement, nor can education be substituted for experience.
