As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Aircraft Field Support Technician in our Product Support business located in Everett, WA.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

Reporting to the Field Support Supervisor, the Aircraft Field Support Technician will perform installations, inspections, fault isolation, connector and wiring repair, and routing on aircraft interior equipment and furnishings including state-of-the-art seats and suites manufactured by Rockwell Collins Interior Systems at the Boeing Everett Delivery Center factory and flight line.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and/or software.
  • Interpret engineering test data in order to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
  • Lay out installation of assemblies and systems, following documentation such as drawings, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
  • Test and troubleshoot actuators, components, and assemblies, using multi-meters and software.
  • Assemble prototypes or models of circuits, instruments, and systems so that they can be used for testing.
  • Coordinate work with that of engineers, technicians, and other aircraft personnel.
  • Sign for quality records of installation, troubleshooting and repair work.
  • Perform software interrogation via a laptop computer.

     

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

     

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts (days, nights, evenings, weekends), if needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 2-4 years experience working on aircraft avionics or electrical systems for either a commerical or military organization.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification preferred, but not required.
  • Associates Degree in a related technical field.
  • Basic computer knowledge and a working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, product and component specifications, and service bulletins.
  • Experience communicating technical details, design concepts, analysis results, and work pass downs via verbal or written mediums.
  • Familiarity and experience with flight line safety.
  • Familiarity and experience with the field support environment.
