Replenishment Analyst - Jewelry

Position Summary:

Coordinate effective replenishment strategies and control and monitor stock levels to achieve sales, service, inventory, and logistics goals. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.

Frequent independent judgments are essential. Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintain consistent and timely product flow
  • Create and authorize reorders of replenishment items as instructed
  • Review exception reports from reorders of replenishment items
  • Update the replenishment system for new and discontinued replenishment items
  • Manage the maintenance of purchase order, item, and vendor for replenishment items
  • Assess promotion needs and forecast purchases in conjunction with buyers
  • Review Open to Buy to verify financial plan is in line with replenishment needs and opportunities
  • Monitor exception reports from reorders of replenishment vendors
  • Communicate with stores regarding replenishment process, replenishment strategies, and relevant merchandising and service issues
  • Review Benchmarks to monitor inventory alignment with sales and turnover goals
  • Suggest assortment and space planning recommendations regarding replenishment categories and items
  • Forecast production requirements, as needed by vendors, for planning their manufacturing schedules
  • Participate with merchandiser and buyers in determining, developing, and implementing optimum replenishment strategies for basic assortments by vendor, category, item, and location
  • Recommend and implement actions for reducing logistics costs
  • Develop seasonal replenishment strategies to include product life cycle, order intervals, and promotional considerations
  • Establish positive partnership with buyers and vendors by participating in vendor/buyer meetings
  • Provide support to stores and buyers to maximize promotional sales
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to buyer and merchandiser on how to increase item category and location sales

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in business or related field plus 1 year buyer, assistant buyer, or retail store management experience; 1 year experience with assortment planning and vendor negotiation; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to continue education, as necessary
  • Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis
  • Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with industry and computer/programming technical terms and processes
  • Valid driver's license
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Experience directing and participating on project teams
  • 60 WPM typing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, MAGIC or AS400, and Report Management and Distribution System (RMDS)
