Scheduler/Planner

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Planner/Scheduler will work with operations and maintenance in planning Maintenance and Inventory Control to limit process down time. Ensure that all work is in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements. As a team member, this person will also assist in other Maintenance, Engineering and EH&S related activities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review maintenance performance data and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Define/Create preventative maintenance plans, Approve Mechanic requisitions and work request
• Write and organize maintenance procedures into the PSM format and as new equipment is added
• Maintain productive relationships with external customers including; contractors, vendors, government agencies, and regulatory agencies
• Assist in maintaining operational, maintenance and repair files required by DOT, OSHA, Regulatory Agencies and Corporate policies.
• Assist with recommended min/max planning attributes
• Create and Schedule work orders, Perform work order completion
• Participate in all Safety, Environmental and Emergency Management activities
• Communicate with outside vendors and customers
• Assist team with identifying items to be returned to Vendors, also items to be returned to inventory not used in repairs
• Complete min/max requisitions
• Acting as liaison between Operations, Maintenance and Pipeline Pigging operations. Review isolation plans, P&ID and validations, support mechanical integrity program and other tasks.
• Collect new equipment information (make, model and serial numbers) from the Field and Job Books, construct asset lists in Excel from data gathered
• Build, update and maintain accuracy of bill of materials (BOMS) for preventative maintenance work orders
• Research mechanical integrity requirements and integrate those requirements in Oracle

• Experience – Two-three years related experience and/or training. Oracle experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Materials and Equipment Used:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices, buried pipe line locators and operate a motor vehicle.
