Software Asset Mgmt Consultant

What you’ll do at Insight:

 

  • Work on SAM engagements for Microsoft, Adobe, VMWare, IBM, SAP, Oracle and other software vendors.
  • Responsibilities include delivering Software Asset Management and License Optimization projects to clients worldwide.  These engagements primarily focus on helping clients with the development of SAM strategies as well as performing compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with other SAM consultants to cover all vendor related licensing matters (IBM, Microsoft, etc.) and manage engagements to completion, from kick-off to deliverables.
  • Work with Account Executives and Software Account Managers to present our services to customers and help promote our capabilities.
  • Act as a point of contact in relation to licensing matters, work with other licensing experts to formulate SAM solutions and help to define requirements for automating SAM processes.

What you’ll need to join Insight:

  • 5 years of experience in performing software license compliance or SAM engagements
  • Understanding of concepts of Software Asset Management; Certification in Software Asset Management
  • Experience delivering publisher licensing assessments and reconciliations in support of agreement renewals, audits, customer program implementations.
  • Knowledge and experience in ITIL, IT Asset Management, Compliance, Auditing, ISO 19770 a plus
  • Some experience with industry leading discovery, ITAM or SAM solutions including but not limited to Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft MAPS, Flexera, Ivanti, Movere, ILMT, etc.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Motivated and results-oriented with strong presentation, communication and consulting skills.
  • Good at organizing, multi-tasking and time management
  • Analytic and team player mindset, client and results oriented
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences; sales, marketing, partners, clients, consultants, executive leaders (internal and external
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
