Ongoing quality healthcare requires someone assisting with Lean Six Sigma projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The support from our Business Transformation Specialist helps us in achieving our long and short term goals. Think you’ve got what it takes?

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the development, tracking, and reporting of metrics for each Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) and monitors the impact of these events.
  • Focus on quality and process control within areas of the hospital and affiliated practices.
  • Investigate and perform good root cause analysis (RCA) with rapid improvement events (RIE). Implements and supports the Continuous Improvement Plan.
  • Lead pre-RIE information collection and analysis that will support decisions regarding the process to be analyzed.
  • Facilitate and lead week-long RIEs comprised of diverse teams of 8-12 employees.
  • Lead the RIE team in experiments that demonstrate successful solutions, facilitate stakeholder buy-in, and steer the team toward clear, measurable metrics.
  • Document and measure results by following up each Lean event over several weeks/months to ensure recommendations are sustained, any additional action items are completed and that metrics identified to measure success are established and functioning as intended.
  • Track ROI on Value Streams and Kaizens and prepares written reports that summarize ROI performance.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures, and scheduling requirements are satisfied.
  • Conduct analysis on specific operational improvement opportunities and confer with leadership on scope of work, purpose, time frames, and resources requirements.
  • Cultivate, foster, and maintain positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, employees, and other stakeholders to gain their cooperation and support.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic statistical analysis and data management skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable in database administration.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate.
