Merck Research Labs is currently seekinga Global Supplier Remediation Intern tosupport supplier remediation and continuous improvement efforts forMerck’s Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety (GRACS) to maintaininspection readiness as well as quality and compliant deliverables from serviceproviders. This position will:

  • Develop a holistic understanding of the activities that are required by GRACS External Operations Strategic Sourcing.
  • Analyze existing processes and help remediate gaps in the delivery of well adopted, controlled and consistent processes across the sourcing lifecycle
  • Identify and remediate gaps in practices demonstrating performance management and quality and compliance assurance
  • Identify and support the implementation of process improvements and opportunities for innovation.
  • Learn and apply industry best practices for supplier management
  • Support the development, improvement and implementation of fit for purpose tools to manage and maintainsupplier data

Thisis a full- time internship position. Housing subsidy is not available aspart of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.

Required:Candidate must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programin business or with a business minor.

RequiredExperience and Skills:

  • Candidates must have a process improvement mindset
  • Candidates must have experience with MS Office (specifically: Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must be motivated, independent, and an out-of-the-box thinker

PreferredExperience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have an enthusiasm for working in sourcing
  • Candidates should have project management skills
  • Candidates should have strong communication skills
  • Candidates should have specificinterest in pharma and/or regulatory and safety
