Job Summary

 

As a Retail Manager III, you will be responsible for the supporting the Director of Dining in the overall success of the food service operation for an account over $500K in size. This includes adhering to the client's culture and guidelines, the Health Department regulations, and company standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation. This position also motivates, trains, develops, and directs all employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers and client. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages the successful operation of food and nutrition / dining services.
  • Plans and supervises special functions, maintains cash controls, payroll records, and oversees the hiring and training of our hourly team members.
  • Directs and trains staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies and presentation standards.
  • Completes all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
  • Implements and maintains cash handling standards as outlined in the Corporate Policies and Procedures Manual to eliminate theft of services or company funds.
  • Works to implement and promote green initiatives.
  • Makes sure all QA and sanitation standards are maintained on a daily basis.
  • Contributes to the development of the web site and update social media with new programs/promotions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum of one year of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred, depending upon formal degree or training.
  • Retail marketing experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing and presentation.
  • Experience with cash retail operations.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office products, e-mail, and internet experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in food services technology/management or related field; or Associate's Degree plus one year of directly related experience is preferred.
