Job Summary:

Location: Niagara Terminal (550 York Rd)

Working Hours: Monday: 02:00-08:15am & Tuesday-Friday: 03:45-08:15am

Scheduled Shift: Monday to Friday: 24.25 hours per week

Employment Contract: Permanent

Hourly Rate: $15.65/hr to start; $17.10/hr after 3 months

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading and sorting freight
  • Preload up to 5 trucks while pulling assigned freight off conveyor belt
  • Scanning/Cubing/Reweighing
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment
  • Build positive relationships with team (couriers, lead hands and sorters)
  • Working with conveyor and roller belts, inside trailers, cargo containers and package vehicles
  • Ability to multi-task which includes the ability to accurately scan, count the number of stops on a truck and write all premium products while loading
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Key Requirements:

  • Proper scan and load techniques
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment an asset
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
