The Market Production Data Specialist position maintains data such as Sample and Census ,Reference Input and follows data standards to ensure completeness and accuracy of data collection and reporting , and custom geographies. Researches and responds to data inquiries proactively identifying operational issues impacting the business. The main purpose of this role is to support the Market Production team processes by providing inputs necessary for creation and delivery of markets.


  • Executes the processes of Market Production and associated project work.
  • Works in partnership with Operation teams according to execution requirements as defined by the process SOP'S  and projects.
  • Engages cross functionally with project teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Act as touch point on Market Production deliverables and complete investigation into data challenges.
  • Act as department/company subject matter expert supporting custom analysis, and issue resolution, involving the data managed by Market Production.
  • Participate in recommending and implementing new and improved ways to effectively process data and execute methodologies within Market Production.
  • Participate in providing training and/or documentation for new or changed processes, or where execution issues are observed.
  • Drive productivity to achieve optimal cost management and propose application, process & functional improvements that will facilitate both increased efficiency and improved standards adherence.
  • Make recommendations for enhancements to internal Nielsen operational processes based on data driven quality analysis.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong in Google Tools
    • Strong Windows OS
    • FTP
    • Basic JCL (ability to update and submit jobs)

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration ,Marketing or related field
  • Technical skills
  • The Nielsen Company Proprietary Mainframe System
  • Strong understanding of The Nielsen Company logic
  • Knowledge of Retailers and Market Geographies
  • Experience in The Nielsen Company Input Operation roles
  • Strong knowledge of Market Production  processes, procedures , and data repositories.
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong customer service experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated communications and win/win negotiation skills, both verbal and written, that are effectively utilized across all levels of a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of Nielsen products, Retailer Industry & Technologies and/or other GBS functions
  • Experience with Project Management and/or BPI/Six Sigma methodologies and tools
