Product Engineer - REPS Architecture (2018)


MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Lead development projects related to Core Bill of Design
  • Manage cost documentation
  • Own test plan and document development test results
  • Provide technical support for new business pursuit activities
  • Timely communication of project status and relevant issues
  • Conduct meetings; provide technical support for project teams
  • Regular contact with others outside the work group
  • Coordinate with vendors and customers
  • Apply concurrent engineering principles
  • Support continuous improvement activities

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    DEGREE: Bachelor

    MAJOR: Mechanical Engineering

     

  • Demonstrated understanding of functional roles important to project delivery, especially product & manufacturing engineering, prototyping, testing, purchasing, quality and marketing
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Knowledge of steering systems product design process and/or tooling and manufacturing processes preferred
  • Demonstrated profound technical knowledge of vehicle steering systems preferred
  • Ability to evaluate various technology alternatives to achieve project goals, especially design - process trade offs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and coordinate multi-functional activities
  • Strong supporter of concurrent engineering. Customer focused.
  • Demonstrated commitment for disciplined approach to project management
  • Excellent oral & written skills
  • Knowledge / Expertise in the following:  Microsoft Office, Problem Solving Techniques
