Join our team as a Senior Engineer in Advanced Manufacturing and help support the manufacturing process in development and implementation within Fabrication and Welding.

This is what you’ll do:
  • Play a vital role in product development, process development, and integration between Engineering and Manufacturing (both within Harley-Davidson and Supply Base).
  • Create manufacturing innovation and standardization, Bill-of-Process guidelines and templates, requirements planning, risk assessment/mitigation (PFMEA), and process design.
  • Lead equipment selection through implementing, interfacing with systems maintained by GIS, transitioning the process to Operations, completing an after-action analysis, and providing Continuous Improvement.
  • Oversee quality, cost, and timing targets and deliverables on assigned projects.

Education Required
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical degree.

Experience Required
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following:
  • Experience in metal fabrication with strong emphasis on welding processes, preferably with AWS CWI certification.
  • Knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning Methodology and the integrated product and process development techniques within it. Examples include Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, I/PPAP, and Standard Work.
  • Success managing medium-to-large-scale projects from concept development to capital funding planning and approval, and ultimately through successful implementation.
  • Ability to lead change, influence others, foster key stakeholder relationships, identify and plan for technical process improvements while remaining focused, non-confrontational, and flexible under pressure.
