Purpose :


This position is responsible for conducting quality related audits on production processes for incoming and outgoing product.  Record and document.  Responsible for performing quality audits production of purchased parts and subcontracting for compliance, documenting and reporting findings in accordance to the quality management system. Assist with the execution of incoming product inventory counts and disposition of count variances. Communicating quality and inventory issues to the engineering team and supply chain team as needed. Attention to detail and accuracy is emphasized to meet quality standards and customer expectations. Safe procedures and practices as described in the standard work instructions must be strictly adhered to.


Essential Responsibilities :

  • Conduct visual and mechanical inspection in accordance with standard work instructions. Including, conducting daily random sample inspection of in-house production inputs and outputs.
  • Disposition non-conforming product according to the QMS and process scrap inventory adjustments
  • Complete inventory adjustments per standard work instructions
  • Monitor supplier quality issues and other internal audit findings
  • Coordinate and perform local product containment plans on suspect materials.
  • Record and report-out on QC audit findings and other quality events to members of the quality/engineering team
  • Assist in root-cause analysis and problem solving of inventory variances and quality related issues, as needed
  • Execute and monitor the incoming product inventory in according to procedures
  • Provide training, guidance and ensure the quality of work performed by other associates meets the requirements of the standardized work document(s).
  • Assist in all other general duties and tasks as directed by the Plant and Quality Manager.
  • Execute standard work instructions without supervision
  • Promote and maintain a safe work area at all times. 
  • Wear required PPE and follow company safety procedures
  • Comply with company safe lifting practices.


Technical and Functional Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and supporting tools
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge and ability to work with a wide variety of hand and light duty power tools
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy parts
  • Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner
  • Understanding and ability to perform regular maintenance for tools and equipment used.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to handle stressful and demanding situations
  • Strong communicate skills in both verbal and in writing form
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and determination
  • Willingness to take initiative in solving problems


Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent with at least  five years of Quality inspection/Production experience
