As the Talent Development Program Manager/Sr. Program Manager at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for developing and managing dynamic Supply Chain training and development programs, systems, compliance, and strategy. You will implement training requests, conduct needs analyses, propose and implement both internally- and externally-sourced adult learning and development solutions that are aligned with business needs. In this role, you will collaborate with Supply Chain leaders and partners to identify deliverables, establish timelines and the allocation of resources, and conduct evaluation measures to determine effectiveness. You will serve as center of knowledge and liaison for the Supply Chain team to assist in reaching their development goals.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

Provide Supply Chain Training, Development, and Education Program Solutions

  • Serve as the department Learning and Development consultant or liaison
  • Research and communicate Supply Chain Learning and Development best known methods
  • Perform needs analysis on requests or business opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts and partners to design, deploy, and optimize department development strategies
  • Evaluate solution effectiveness and make appropriate adjustments
  • Provide instruction, facilitation, or presentations
  • Build and maintain adult learning communities and networks

     

Identify and Support the Needs of Future Talent Development

  • Advise team members regarding career paths, development, and education options
  • Perform job and skills analysis to define and calibrate role requirements
  • Assist with identifying organizational and individual skills development opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Forecast future development needs to meet business strategies
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partner and Global Workforce Development to build leadership capabilities
  • Assist HR Business Partner to develop succession plans

 

Govern and Administer Learning and Development Programs, Processes, and Systems

  • Manage systems for supporting department training, development, and education
  • Establish and apply standards for department talent development procedures
  • Identify and report on critical talent development metrics to achieve compliance and goal targets
  • Create and maintain Learning Management System (LMS) records
  • Partner with Corporate Learning and Development to ensure alignment of Learning and Development systems and processes
  • Drive implementation and communication plans and assist leaders in preparing organizations for change
  • Maintain regular communication with department leadership regarding program activities
  • Perform or coordinate regular periodic quality reviews on training solutions to continuously ensure accuracy and increase value

     

Enable Performance Management

  • Perform job and skills analysis to define role requirements
  • Collect Performance Plan and Appraisal data and follow-up on compliance
  • Support performance management through planning, appraisal, and incentive processes and systems
  • Coordinate with company partners / executives
  • Assist with development gap identification and recommended solutions
  • Forecast future development needs to meet business strategies
  • Prepare leaders to effectively lead their teams through performance analysis, feedback, planning, and recognition
  • Facilitate Talent Management activities to enable talent pipelines for critical roles

     

Lead and Participate in Projects

  • Perform needs analysis on support requests or projects
  • Participate in project definition
  • Execute to project plan
  • Escalate risks and issues
  • Communicate project status and goals with partners
  • Evaluate project effectiveness

 

Education (Required) Bachelor Degree

  • Education Leadership/Adult Learning
  • Human Resource Management
  • Instructional Performance Technology
  • Training and Development
  • Related field of study

 

Experience (Required)

4 years of experience in any of the following:

  • Training/Development/Education

 

Experience (Desired)

2 years if experience in any of the following including the above:

  • Project Management
  • Supply Chain
