Sr. Production Planner

 

About The Role:

Production planners are responsible for planning the manufacture of finished goods and sub-assemblies for global customers across the Boston Scientific plant network. Planners will own the planning processes, tools, and systems to lead weekly and monthly execution for their production value streams. This position will work with partners in production, purchasing, and engineering and be focused on New Product Development projects within Cardiac Rhythm Management and Neuromodulation Divisions.


Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops, maintains and controls the master production schedule.
  • Develops "what if" analysis based on demand and supply variation
  • Assists production supervisors with the implementation of the production schedule.
  • Prepares reports, presentations and graphs with monthly operating summaries for planning and execution of meetings.
  • Analyzes and interprets marketing forecast reports.
  • Maintains and controls the MRP signal to ensure component availability through master data and production order maintenance
  • Attends and participates in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process.
  • Communicates and follows up on issues related to component and sub-assembly availability.
  • Communicates production planning issues to relevant areas including Marketing, Production Control, Customer Service, etc.
  • Maintains partnerships with international sites in Ireland, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica.
  • Leads strategic projects to improve Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost through application of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Creates planning strategies to support regional product launches.

An experienced supply chain professional excited to work with New Product Development teams to bring the next generation of medical devices to production!

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and recommend corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of the supply chain and production processes, bills of material, etc. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Rapid Response Software Experience
  • SAP MRP Experience
  • Experience in medical device industry or other highly regulated environment
  • APICS Certification and/or training courses in demand and supply chain planning
  • MES and/or QAD ERP system experience.
