OPW Engineered Systems has an immediate opening for an Applications Engineer in the greater Cincinnati / Mason area (Lebanon, OH).   This position reports to the Custom Engineering Manager.


The essential responsibilties for the position include applying technical knowledge to design custom products for fluid transfer equipment (e.g. VISI-FLO®, swivels) and terminal layout.  The successful canddidate will also provide advanced CAD designs to customer specifications and applicable engineering standards while supporting the manufacturing department.  Additional responsibilities include creating detailed designs and layouts of fluid transfer systems to customer specs., developing BOM's, providing customer support on technical issues and coordinating and communicating with other departments.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of professional engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME/BSMET).
  • 2 years’ experience using PLM and CAD software (Creo/ProE, Windchill and AutoCAD preferred).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with piping design, pressure vessels or fluid transfer equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC).
  • Display proficiency using Oracle.
  • Experience using product configuration software.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong math skills- Experience with equipment design and layouts.
  • High level of customer focus with the ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times with customers and coworkers.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision
