The Nielsen Company is a leading global information and measurement company that provides clients with a comprehensive understanding of consumers and consumer behavior. 

This role will closely collaborate with Nielsen’s Media Analytics practice. The position will leverage Nielsen’s world class media research assets to provide best in class custom analytics to media companies, digital & technology companies, agencies and advertisers.  Primary focuses are around cross platform measurement, effectiveness and optimization. 

This Data Analyst role will report to the Director of Analytics primarily focused on the Media Analytics Branded Integration Intel (BII) suite, which evaluates and measures the effectiveness and value of product placement campaigns across TV and digital platforms. 


  • Work collaboratively with Media Analytics Project Managers/Sales in developing project specifications and ensuring project milestones are met
  • Initiate and monitor footage downloads to prepare footage for analysis
  • Complete data management necessary for multiple projects
  • Develop mastery of Nielsen tools and metrics, which you will use to help evaluate data and measure sponsorships across different media platforms
  • Create and manage master campaign files used for client reporting, benchmarking against norms, and identifying trends
  • Produce reports across several clients, helping to analyze and interpret key performance measures, communicate results, and answer data-driven questions


  • BA in data science, statistics, finance, or equivalent
  • 0-1 year relevant experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills and demonstrated track record in data analysis & modelling, preferably media measurement focused
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including usage of formula writing, logical functions, charting, pivot tables
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present data and complex ideas in an easy to understand manner
  • Experience using statistical packages beneficial
