The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing and implementing information systems that will support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. They solve problems through architecture, ensuring proper design, implementation and ongoing administration of the organization's networks, telecommunications and servers.  This includes patching, upgrades and repairs as necessary. This individual will be responsible for communicating status to internal clients and team members on support and project tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyzes system requirements
  • Defines system architecture that will meet business needs, including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols.
  • Ensures that architecture project roll-outs meet security standards and be effectively integrated with current applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation of detailed design documents and diagrams
  • Provide technical expertise to recommend, design and deploy robust solutions
  • Champion the continuous improvement of existing infrastructure practices
  • Work closely with collaborative cross-unit teams who make up the entire IT stack to achieve shared business goals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years engineering enterprise platforms
  • 5+ years experience in configuring and supporting switches, routers, firewalls, wifi, and end user devices from multiple vendors.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of F5 loadbalancers, Checkpoint firewalls, Arista, and Cisco switch gear
