Submarine Integration Planning Engineer

NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Submarine Integration Planning Engineer to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).



Our team supports the Navy in the oversight of design, construction, and delivery of new submarines. Your customer is the program's logistics group, exercising delegated technical authority in the development of maintenance and supportability plans.


The Integration Planning Engineer will directly support the Supportability Analysis Lead, and the Logistics Product Development Lead, assuming the following responsibilities:


  • Provide direct support to the Supportability Analysis Lead in efforts to complete the design and integration of various Submarine Systems and ensure supportability planning is complete.
  • Provide technical expertise in Maintenance engineering as it relates to design, deployment, integration, testing and implementation on/for Navy systems.
  • Provide technical expertise on submarine maintenance planning and processes associated with submarine support at the O, I, and D levels including shipyard and Trident Refit Facility (TRF) / Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF).
  • Integrate with various Program Integration Teams to ensure sustainability aspects are in place for the submarine lifecycle.
  • Provide integration expertise for new systems being introduced to the Navy by supporting the Supportability Analysis Manager.
  • Prepare detailed projections regarding ramifications, costs, performance probabilities and potential problems involved with modifying, eliminating or introducing new technologies into the system.
  • Participate in shipbuilder component and system level Design Reviews.
  • Coordinate the efforts of engineers, technical managers, support activities, Navy laboratories, field activities, and contractors in planning, development, integration with design and construction, and execution of plans and processes to ensure products support sustainment plans.



  • Undergarduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience-Engineering Degree Preferred



  • Requires 5+ Years Experience 


Specific Skills

  • 4+ Years Experience in Submarine Supportability Requirements
  • 4+ Years Experience in Submarine Maintenance Planning
  • 4+ Years Experience in Shipyard Waterfront Operations


Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated Effective Written and Spoken Communication Skills
  • Program Management Office (PMO) or Customer Support Experience
