Logistics Coordinator

At XPO Logistics, we need team members who can enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, damage control, and inventory. As the Logistics Coordinator, you will create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. We’ll put to work your extensive knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations and give you the tools and support you need to excel at your job and deliver world-class customer service.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Identify freight and coordinate delivery promptly to ensure customer and company requirements are met
  • Ensure maximum efficiency and optimization in moving freight
  • Properly monitor shipments for customers to ensure on time, accurate, and satisfactory deliveries
  • Correctly troubleshoot and proactively resolve shipment discrepancies as needed
  • Proactively communicate with customers, employees, and the management team to ensure necessary requirements are met
  • Identify strategies to increase freight from customer and/or to better manage existing opportunities
  • Correctly enter data into transportation management system, and maintain and generate required reports; properly process, audit, and file various documentation

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in supply chain or logistics
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., and possess color discernment and field vision

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Professional character, highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team and promote a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality when appropriate, produce accurate output, and meet deadlines
