The Micron Finance Department is seeking an intern in the Tax group to start in Fall of 2018 .

 

As a Tax intern in Micron's Tax Department, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing tax returns, tax provisions, and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with the compilation of various financial information reports (pulling data from SAP) to support tax compliance and accounting.
  • Assisting with tax research and related memorandums.
  • Assisting with special tax projects.
  • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with transfer pricing adjustments, transfer pricing reports, and pricing data.
  • Corresponding with foreign entities to ensure compliance with SOX controls.
  • Assisting with maintaining the Tax SharePoint Site.

 

Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Strong software skills; specifically, with Excel, Power Point, Word and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communications skills; both verbal and written.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.
  • An interest in Tax. (Preferred)
  • Flexibility with the work schedule
  • It is preferred that the candidate be:
    • Early Junior status within the undergraduate accounting program; or
    • Early Senior status also committed to the MSAT graduate program

 

Education:

  • Must be pursuing a BA/BS or MS in Accounting or Tax. Must be a full-time student.
