Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is to perform maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers and pumps and pick-up/deliveries of units/pumps/tanks.  Performs all duties according to established safety procedures.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers and pumps (diesel, gas and hydraulic and electric).  This includes:
  • Diagnosing
  • Repairing
  • Removing, assembling, installing, fabricating
  • Contacting third parties for more advanced repairs
  • Provides parts lists and estimates of labor requirements
  • Prepare and provide documentation on work performed
  • Ensure maintenance area is both organized and is free of debris and potential hazards
  • Loads or assists in loading truck with materials or equipment.  Unloads or assists in unloading truck by using forklift, hand truck, etc.
  • Transports and delivers pumps, frac tanks, roll off boxes, vacuum boxes and other large containment boxes over the most efficient route to destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Secures truck before any loading or unloading of materials or equipment.
  • Obtains proper paperwork and necessary signatures, and returns completed paperwork to shipping office.  Maintains any related records required.

Education and Experience:

  • 1 year experience of basic preventative maintenance, air brakes and electrical systems for a semi-trailer.
  • Has a currently valid Class A commercial vehicle operator’s license issued only by one state or jurisdiction
  • 3 years’ CDL Class A experience or 2 years’ CDL Class A experience and a truck driving school certificate required (CDL Class A experience while serving in the military is gladly accepted)
  • At least 6 months of Class A experience must be within the last 24 months
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Familiar with DOT regulations
  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquires, and to make entries on reports and records
  • Possess a valid medical certificate and is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle
  • Valid forklift certification preferred
  • Welding experience preferred
