Production Associate

Worthington Industries, located in Rome, NY, is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team for a career.  We are a team-oriented culture with development opportunities to progress from an entry-level production associate to machine operator within our organization. A full range of benefits are offered starting day one including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match after 6-months and an on-site barber shop.

The Production Associate will be responsible for helping process steel specific to our customer specifications. Duties include but are not limited to moving steel around the plant with a forklift and/or crane, loading/unloading material from machines in a safe timely manner and preparing the material for packaging.

This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to perform the duties of Production Associate to the highest standard.

Shift Hours: 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm. 

Required Experience

  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures

  • Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures

  • Competent in math and computer skills
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Possess good problem solving skills, high level of personal accountability and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle physical work and be able to stand on your feet for 8-hours a day.
  • 0-6 months prior experience
  • Must be 18 years of age and older
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
