Overview
Permanent part-time Grade 2 speech pathologist (0.6 FTE) to join Epworth Camberwell in the Speech Pathology and Dietetics Department, Continuing Care & Support Services.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based communication and swallowing management and education to patients and their families/carers
- Act as an active member of the department and multidisciplinary team
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning and knowledge sharing
Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of clinical experience with adults in a hospital or community setting
- Well-developed clinical skills with evidence-based interventions
- Experience using a variety of cog-communication assessment and intervention tools
- Proven experience in a multidisciplinary team, alongside consumers and families
- Strong understanding of instrumental swallowing evaluations (e.g., VFSS/FEES)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Registration
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent degree
- Eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Eligibility for Certified Practising Membership of SPA
