Overview
DevOps Engineer role at Avant Mutual. This permanent, full-time position is based in Melbourne and focuses on building, deploying, and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines using Azure cloud services and automated deployment tools.
Key responsibilities
- Automate the build and deployment pipeline for applications and integration services.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to automate deployment processes.
- Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth deployments.
- Mentor and coach in-house team members to assume responsibility for automation.
- Produce technical documentation about processes and tools.
Skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science.
- 4+ years hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience in continuous build and deploy processes.
- Proven ability to design, implement and manage Azure CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Familiarity with Octopus Deploy CI/CD.
- Good understanding of Azure IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, particularly Microsoft .NET applications and NuGet packages.
Certifications (advantageous but not mandatory)
- AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
