Position Summary

The Azure Application Architect is responsible for designing, reviewing, and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions that meet client and organisational objectives. Leveraging deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, enterprise architecture, and modern development practices, the role bridges business requirements and technical implementation to ensure optimal outcomes. The position combines strategic architectural oversight with hands-on technical consultancy, working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to design future-proof solutions, optimise system performance, and lead delivery from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture reviews, assessing system scalability, resilience, and alignment with business objectives.
• Analyse current state IT landscapes to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.
• Design and deliver target state solutions contemporary integration patterns, application architectures, and data flows.
• Develop enterprise and solution roadmaps, ensuring adherence to principles and best practices.
• Technical Consulting — Act as a solution architect for complex, high-value client engagements.
• Assess new systems, tools, and platforms for suitability and strategic fit.
• Provide expertise across Azure and emerging services, CoPilot Studio, DevOps automation, and software development.
• Conduct detailed code reviews, providing improvement recommendations.
• Stakeholder Engagement — Engage with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors to capture requirements and align solutions.
• Present architecture strategies, technical findings, and project recommendations to senior executives and boards.
• Champion best practices in software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps and GitHub.
• Project Delivery — Oversee end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring solution architecture integrity is maintained throughout.
• Identify and manage technical risk, align to client-change control, and proactively inspect solutions to maintain architecture integrity.

Qualifications

• University Degree in the related field.
• Microsoft Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect
