- Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 + Super
- Position: Junior GIS Officer with 1-4 years experience, eager to build and develop GIS skills.
Company Overview
An Ecology & Environmental Planning Consultancy based in Fortitude Valley, servicing Renewable Energy Developers, Property Developers, and Industry at both State & Federal levels. The company has 30 staff and is expanding, with offices in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
Role Responsibilities
- Project delivery in collaboration with the GIS team
- Managing ecology projects related to renewables and industrial/residential development (50/50 split)
- Utilizing QGIS for mapping, data automation, and application development on meaningful projects
- Supporting ecological offsets market by providing site selection options via QGIS applications
Role Highlights
Assist in developing solutions for clients, focusing on ecological offset site identification using geospatial criteria. Opportunity to enhance skills in a supportive environment with a great leadership team and clients.
Requirements
- 1-4 years experience in GIS
- Proficiency in QGIS
- Python experience is beneficial
- Open to Brisbane or Sunshine Coast office locations
